Yoalin didn’t only give many of us the opportunity to discover the Alps like never before, but also allowed us to make encounters and friends through our respective journeys. Some of us already met at the opening event in Feldkrich and we had the chance to get in contact with some wonderful people with whom we shared many experiences during this summer. The summer started off with Matevž visiting me at home and enjoying Fête des Vignerons which was certainly the biggest event of the summer in Switzerland. An outstanding 3h30 show which celebrated the know how of wine making and the traditions of Switzerland. Then it was my turn to start my trip with a first stop in Slovenia where I met up with Matevž. We had a great time hiking in the Bohinj National Park and wondering around the beautiful city of Ljubljana.
Later during the summer, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Laura and Antonio in Kandersteg for a beautiful “chlike” (chill and hike) up to idyllic Oeschinensee. During the following days, I had the pleasure of showing Laura around my home area near the medieval town of Gruyères. We then met up with Marc and his boss in Bern for a nice lunch by the river. And since no visit to Bern is completed before one has swum in the Aar, Laura, Marc and I all jumped in the river for nice swim refreshing swim with a beautiful view over the swiss parliament.
What an outstanding summer!
